Childbirth Education Classes

Baby Care Basics is designed to prepare you for the hands-on care of your newborn. The instruction centers on bathing, feeding, clothing, diapering and safety. Emphasis is also placed on the adjustment to parenting. You’ll also learn five simple techniques to calm a fussy baby that really work. This class is a must for all new parents. 

Class sizes are limited to one registrant and their one guest.

Infant & Child CPR covers the safety issues for infants and children, from newborn to the age of 12 years. Techniques for clearing airway obstructions and administering CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) are presented. This is a non-certification course.

A class specifically designed for new parents who are going to breastfeed their baby, whether mom is returning to work or not. Come and learn basic benefits of breastfeeding, positions and nutrition while breastfeeding, pumping and more.

The classes cover all aspects of labor and birth, including vaginal birth, variations in labor, Cesarean birth, pain medication options, newborn appearance, postpartum, breathing & relaxation exercises and comfort measures for many of the situations that can occur during labor.
